Returns, Customizations, and Defects Policy – ​​Bookish Products

This policy applies to all non-bookish products sold on lunarya.co, including but not limited to:

  • Bookmarks
  • Magnetic bookmarks
  • E-Reader Inserts
  • Overlay
  • Bookish accessories
  • Cups
  • Tote bag
  • T-shirt
  • Sweatshirts
  • Any other items printed on request
  • Handcrafted products

All products are made to order. No items are permanently kept in stock.

By completing the purchase, the customer fully accepts this policy.

🧵 1. PRODUCTS HANDMADE BY LUNARYA

Some products are entirely handmade by Lunarya.

Since these are handcrafted products, they may present:

  • Small defects
  • Minimal imperfections
  • Slight misalignments
  • Micro signs
  • Cutting differences
  • Slight color variations

These features are an integral part of the manual process and do not constitute a defect if they do not compromise the functionality of the product.

The images on the site are representative; each piece may have slight differences.

🖨 2. PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED THROUGH PRINTING PARTNERS

Some products (e.g., mugs, tote bags, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other items) are produced through third-party printing partners.

These products:

  • They are made to order
  • They are not pre-stocked
  • They may present minimal printing variations
  • They may have slight chromatic differences compared to the screen

Color variations due to monitor calibration do not constitute a defect.

All products, including those produced through printing partners, are checked by Lunarya before shipping.

Lunarya is committed to not shipping products deemed defective or not compliant with its quality standards. However, during periods of high workload, imperfections may be overlooked that are not immediately detected.

Product quality control through partners

If Lunarya believes that a product has an imperfection that does not comply with its standards, it will contact the customer before shipping, sending images that fully represent the condition of the product.

The customer can choose between:

  1. Accept the product in the condition shown, expressly waiving any subsequent request for return, refund or compensation relating to such imperfection, including the waiver of the 14-day deadline for reporting the same.

  2. Wait for the technical lead time required for the production of a new product.

  3. Receive a full refund with simultaneous cancellation of the order.

If we do not receive a response within 3 working days, Lunarya reserves the right to proceed with the shipment of the product in the documented condition or with the option deemed most appropriate.

✨ 3. CUSTOMIZED PRODUCTS

Pursuant to Article 59 of the Consumer Code (Directive 2011/83/EU), the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to measure or clearly personalized.

This category includes:

  • Products with personalized name
  • Products modified on request
  • Variants created according to customer specifications

There is no right of withdrawal for these products, except for structural defects.

📦 4. MADE-TO-ORDER NON-CUSTOMIZED PRODUCTS

For products made to order but not personalized, the right of withdrawal applies within the limits established by current legislation (14 days from delivery for EU customers).

Conditions:

  • The product must be unused

  • Must be returned in original condition

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer

  • The cost of the product and any initial standard shipping costs incurred for the order will be refunded, as required by current legislation.

👕 5. CLOTHING PRODUCTS

For t-shirts, sweatshirts and other clothing:

The right of withdrawal can be exercised within the legal terms only if the product:

  • It has not been worn (except for size testing)
  • It has not been washed
  • It has no stains, odors, signs of use or damage
  • It is returned with original tags and conditions
  • Clothing may be tried on for size and fit only.

Pursuant to current legislation, the customer is responsible for any decrease in value of the goods resulting from use other than that strictly necessary for the test.

If there are signs of use, Lunarya may:

  • Refuse the return, or
  • Withhold a proportional reduction in the reimbursement based on the decrease in value found

Washed, altered, or damaged products will not be refundable.

Wrong size chosen by the customer

The choice of size is the customer's responsibility.

Any errors in selecting the size do not constitute a product defect.

Any requests for replacements due to incorrect sizes will be handled as normal returns, with shipping costs charged to the customer, where applicable.

📏 6. WHAT IS CONSIDERED A DEFECT?

A bookish product is considered defective only if it has:

✔ Structural breakdown
✔ Print severely damaged
✔ Missing part
✔ Defect that compromises functionality

For imperfections of a purely aesthetic nature, the minimum threshold of relevance is set at 10 mm at the longest visible point.

❌ 7. WHAT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A DEFECT

The following do not constitute a defect:

  • Small craft defects
  • Micro bubbles or micro imperfections
  • Slight color variation
  • Small differences in graphic centering
  • Small cutting irregularities
  • Minimal dimensional variations
  • Imperfections visible only from close range
  • Normal wear and tear after use

Subjective aesthetic preferences do not constitute a defect.

📸 8. REPORTING PROCEDURE

Any requests must be sent exclusively by email to: 📩 alice@lunarya.co

Requests submitted via social media or other channels will not be considered valid.

Reports must be submitted within 14 days of delivery.

They must include:

  • Clear photos of the defect
  • Photo of the whole product
  • Photo of the packaging
  • Order number
  • Photo with ruler placed next to the imperfection (where applicable)

The ruler must be clearly visible and free from perspective distortions.

Measurements are taken at the longest visible point of the imperfection.

The final evaluation is up to Lunarya based on the photographic documentation provided.

Incomplete requests will not be processed.

Reports submitted after the 14-day deadline will not be taken into consideration.

🔄 9. REPLACEMENT OR REFUND

If the defect is confirmed:

Lunarya will evaluate the most appropriate resolution method between:

  • Product Replacement
  • Partial refund
  • Full refund

The choice of resolution method is at the sole discretion of Lunarya.

Replacement is limited to one per order, unless otherwise decided by Lunarya.

The request for product return is at the discretion of Lunarya.

If the photographic documentation provided is clear, compliant with the indicated criteria and sufficient to demonstrate the defect, Lunarya will be able to proceed with the refund without requesting the return of the product.

In case of a return request, shipping costs will be borne by the customer unless otherwise agreed.

🌍 EXTRA-EU ORDERS

For orders shipped outside the European Union:

  • Lunarya may opt for a total or partial refund without obligation to replace.
  • Any refund does not automatically entail the right to a replacement shipment.
  • The customer may eventually place a new order independently.
  • International shipping charges are non-refundable unless there is a major structural defect recognized under this policy.
  • Duties and taxes are non-refundable unless required by law.
  • Returns are at the customer's expense unless Lunarya decides otherwise.

⚖ ACCEPTANCE OF THE POLICY

By completing the purchase, the customer accepts:

  • That handcrafted products may have small defects
  • That chromatic differences due to monitors do not constitute a defect
  • That customized products are not subject to the right of withdrawal
  • That the final evaluation is up to Lunarya

The Preventive Dispute Resolution clause provided for in the General Conditions of Sale also applies.
