What does the subscription include?
A curated selection of essential new Italian releases in the Adult and Upper YA genres. All volumes are hardcover bookstore editions, enhanced with Nola Spray Edges spray edges and exclusive overlays, each created in collaboration with a different artist.
They will all be first volumes or standalone volumes. Second and subsequent volumes will be released outside of the subscription for those who wish to complete the collection. Subscribers will have first refusal on subsequent volumes.
Are special edition titles with cover art (like Road of Bones) or any reprints included in the subscription?
Currently, all special editions with alternative cover art and any reprints are EXCLUDED from the subscription. This is a conscious choice, made to offer you four releases per year that are secure, carefully curated, and live up to expectations, without promising anything we can't absolutely guarantee for the coming year. For 2027, we're already working to secure four titles in collaboration with publishers, which we can offer as complete reprint editions. Fingers crossed for us... and for you too!
What level of “spice” do the selected books have?
The spice level varies: it goes from 5 stars, with intense and passionate stories, to 1 star, more introspective, intriguing with a memorable slow burn.
How many releases are planned each year?
Four releases are planned per year. Boxes ship between 1 and 3 months after pre-orders close, barring unforeseen production or logistics issues.
When is the next box being announced?
Boxes are tentatively scheduled for January, March, June, and September. These also correspond to the months in which the subscription is activated. However, the publishing schedule may be subject to changes depending on the availability of the titles or agreements with publishers. Any changes or delays will be communicated via email and on Lunarya’s social channels to all subscribers.
When can I activate my subscription?
Registration for new subscribers opens four times a year: January, March, June, and September 2026, from the 1st to the 29th of the month.
- In January you can choose between: 1 renewable box, 2 renewable boxes or 4 renewable boxes.
- In March, June, and September, you will only be able to sign up for the renewable 1-box subscription.
Renewable boxes of 2 or 4 allow you to save almost 10% on each edition.
Subscription activation months may change depending on Lunarya's editorial schedule. They will be communicated on social media and via newsletter ( subscribe here to make sure you don't miss anything).
How much does shipping cost for subscription books?
Delivery is always €8 for Italy. €50 for the USA and €25 for the UK. If you purchase a subscription of 2 or 4 boxes, shipping costs will be added to your purchase or renewal for all subsequent boxes. If you don't see your country at checkout, please email alice@lunarya.co
Skips and cancellations
Need to skip a box or cancel your subscription for future renewals? No problem. Just email alice@lunarya.co with your subscription number.
⏰ Attention
The subscription month cannot be skipped or refunded. Subscriptions created between the first and 29th of the pre-order month (January, March, June, September, and thereafter throughout 2027) can only skip or cancel the box starting from the month following the subscription month. This means that if you purchase a subscription in March, you will receive and cannot skip or be refunded for the March box. You can, however, cancel or skip any subsequent boxes, observing the rules regarding maximum annual skips and timelines. Keep this in mind before purchasing. If you're unsure, wait until the title is revealed before purchasing to be sure you want to receive the book for the subscription month.
Timing: Notification of any cancellations or cancellations must be received no later than the 25th of the month in which orders were opened (January, March, June, or September), and applies only to renewal boxes (not boxes signed up for the same month, see above). If the request arrives after the 25th, the month's box will still be charged and shipped.
In this case, the change (skipping or cancellation), if still desired, will be effective from the next renewal. If you also wish to skip the following box, you will need to communicate this again, always no later than the 25th of the month in which you pre-ordered.
A third skip during the year is not permitted. If you do not wish to receive a third box, this will cancel your subscription.
What happens with renewals in the event of cancellations?
The missed delivery goes "on the end" of those already scheduled. Therefore, the renewal (and payment for it) will also be postponed by a month (or two, depending on how many boxes you've missed consecutively). For example, if you purchase a two-box subscription in January and decide to receive January and June but skip March, you'll receive the January and June boxes but not March. Your automatic renewal, which was due in June, will be postponed to September, where you'll be charged for two more boxes (September and January of the following year).
Where and when does the charge occur?
Recurring charges are made on the 30th of the pre-order month: January, March, June, and September, unless otherwise communicated. Subscription renewal months may change depending on Lunarya's editorial schedule. Any changes will be communicated directly to the email address you provided when you signed up.
You'll also receive an email from our system by the 20th of the month to remind you of the upcoming charge. You'll then have 5 days to report any missed payments or cancellations to alice@lunarya.co .
The payment method you used when you signed up will be charged. If it's unavailable or there aren't enough funds, you'll receive an email to update your payment method through the customer portal . ⚠️ Never share your payment information via social media or email. What happens if the payment fails?
You'll receive an email regarding this and have 3 days to correct the issue (add funds or change your payment method via the customer portal ). If the payment doesn't go through after the 3-day grace period, your subscription will expire.
I need to change my shipping address, billing address, or payment method. How do I do this?
You can manage your shipping address, billing address, and payment method independently by logging into the customer portal . If you encounter any difficulties or require assistance, please email alice @ lunarya.co .
I paid via Shop Pay and can't change the payment method on the portal. What can I do?
If you paid via Shop Pay, you can't change your payment method from the Lunarya portal. You'll need to log in directly to the Shop App to update your payment information.
When is my next order or charge scheduled?
You can check it at any time by logging into the customer portal , where you'll find all the information about your subscription and upcoming charges. If you need assistance, you can email alice @ lunarya.co.
I don't remember what type of subscription I purchased and when it will be charged

🚚 Shipping and delivery
What type of shipping can I choose?
For Italy, and for items up to 500 grams, you can choose between non-traceable and registered shipping. For packages weighing 500 grams or more, shipment is always via courier and therefore always traceable. For international shipments, shipment is always traceable.
What are the delivery times?
For Italy, 2-6 business days for bookish orders. For international orders, it depends on the destination country, but can take up to 20 business days. Boxes are always available for pre-order, and the estimated delivery date is specified on the product page for each box.
How much does shipping cost?
It depends on the weight of the items you ordered. Add your zip code at checkout and you'll see how much shipping costs.
Do you also ship internationally?
Yes, throughout Europe, including the UK, USA, and Australia. For bulk orders over 16 kg, please email alice@lunarya.co for a shipping estimate.
